Wisdom : Shoes

Well I haven't put up any posts in a while, oops! So here we go.
I got a new job recently and i decided to buy a pair of practical shoes because I'm really not known for my great practical shoe choices this was hard, I tried on a pair of flats which made me feel as if i was falling backwards so I decided on some 2 inch "practical" heels, I've come to this conclusion; PRACTICAL HEELS SUCK! I hate them! And it's a total oxymoron, heels are not meant to be practical, I think I'll just get botox in my feet so I can go back to wearing my 3.5 inch heels.

I have these in black, I love them! Wish I could wear these to work!

Sadly this is more like what I wear to work, EW!

Wisdom : Book Buying

I love books. So much. One of the things I would most like to be (when I grow up, oh wait...) is a librarian! I love librarian chic!

When I find a fantastic book I want to own it but books are so expensive and I really don't have enough money to buy all the books I love (the list grows everyday). This is where The Book Depository comes in. It is amazing, you can find anything, from text books to books about Viking art, and most things in between, even ebooks for you people who don't read real books anymore (my own brother included).

Wisdom : Sunny Days

Today was the first fantasticly sunny day in Wellington for a while, the words "weather bomb" have been used a lot lately.

  Some friends and I did the wisest thing, we sat and drank sangria on this gorgeous day, refreshing! It is the smartest thing to do on a day like today, unless you drink to much of it and end up doing stupid things.

Mmmm, best sunny day treat!

All good things come to an end though!

Wisdom : Cats & Dogs

I love animals, all animals, thats the main reason I'm vegetarian, I love them ALIVE! But here are a few things I've picked over the years of living with both cats and dogs!

Cats tend to be more selfish. Sleeping all day waiting to be fed, they are more like "Gee I must be God because these human things feed me and pat me and pay all sorts of attention to me!"

Don't get me wrong I love cats even though they make me sneeze! <3

Dogs on the other hand are more devoted and loyal to you and seem to think along these lines more "These human things pat me and feed me and pay me all sorts of attention, man they must be Gods!"

I love dogs I really do, I feel wrong without one! So I'll post a picture of my pup Max who is living in Dunedin with my mother (HI MUM!!!)

Wisdom : Shoegaze

Today I found out what shoegaze is! I always thought it sounded amazing and I found out today that it's a sub genre of music!

This is my take on shoegaze...

NME and Melody Maker named this style shoegazing because the musicians in these bands stood relatively still during live performances in a detached, introspective, non-confrontational state, hence the idea that they were gazing at their shoes.

Wisdom : Face Masks

I love relaxing with a face mask on, makes my skin feel amazing! But sometimes you forget it's on and there are two things you shouldn't do while wearing one because in some cases you can look like a swamp monster!

Thing 1 : Do not answer the door wearing a face mask, the reaction may be people running and screaming!

Thing 2 : It's never a good idea to Skype your boyfriend/husband/significant other while wearing a face mask,  they will get the fright of their lives trying to figure out whats wrong with your face!

Keep these things in mind, haha!

Wisdom : Think Logically

Well my friend and I just moved into a new house and were really keen to do some washing, only to be extremely frustrated to find it didn't work! We were cursing the damn washing machine all night!

A friend came over today and fixed the problem and left us embarrassed, we didn't turn the taps on, it can't work without water, DUHHHHHHHH!

So if your washing machine isn't working turn on the taps.
Oops.

Wisdom : Glasses

I love my glasses, all 5 pairs of them, they look great, frame my face well and are all beautiful.
But what I really (REALLY) love about having to wear glasses is that everyone automatically thinks that you are smarter, more responsible, more reliable and cooler (in a nerdy chic kinda way I guess) because you wear them.

 These are my favourite pair!

Glasses are definitely one of the coolest accessories!

Pregnant women need to go to a hospital when giving birth, not the zoo, sure they may be roarrrrring like a Lion but a Zoo is really not a appropriate place to bring a child into the world.
